The Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. If you are a practical Catholic man living in or near southern Chesapeake and are interested in learning more or joining the Knights, we’d love to hear from you.
Our council supports both Saint Stephen Martyr and Holy Family Chapel Parishes. The Knights of Columbus are a way to serve our Faith, our Church, our Parishes, and the community. The individuals that make up our Council decide for themselves what is best for them and their families in terms of the events or programs they can support.
Our calendar shows the Council charitable events and fundraisers we currently support.

About our Council
Jesus, Mary & Joseph Council 11984 was chartered on May 25, 1997 at the military chapel located at Naval Security Group Activity Northwest. After the death of our Charter Chaplain and State Council Chaplain, a Resolution was approved to change the name to Father Edward L. Richardson, SMA Council 11984. Council meetings were relocated to St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church in January 2011. The Council continues to serve the military Catholic community at Holy Family Chapel, NSA Northwest and the Catholic community of St. Stephen Martyr.
